Niki Tonks MARKETING DIRECTOR
Niki designed and developed the company's tracking and management system "OnTarget" with the development team. She is responsible for the company's image including brochures, letterhead, business cards, advertising, PR efforts, web management and design, trade shows, new sales, newsletters and more.
Niki has first hand experience as a print and web publisher and manager with nearly all desktop publishing formats including QuarkXpress, QuarkXpress Japanese, In Design, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Framemaker, Interleaf, AutoCad, Publisher, Corel, GoLive and more. Niki also serves as an alternate project manager, desktop publisher and assists the president and contracts manager.
Background & Education:
Niki was born and raised in Utah. She attended Weber State University on an academic scholarship and graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Public Relations with a minor in Dance in 1998. In college, Niki traveled with her Dance Company performing pieces for various concerts as well as taught core learning concepts through dance to disadvantaged youth. Additionally, she worked as a photographer, journalist and graphic designer for the school newspaper for 3 years.
Experience:
Before coming to U. S. Translation Company, Niki worked for advertising and publishing companies in Utah. Her responsibilities have included web design, printed marketing materials and ad design and campaigns for magazines. Her previous employment makes Niki an experienced graphic designer and advertising materials developer. Niki has also initiated and directed the development of a $250k fully interactive health management information site. This experience guided her in the development of the company’s current tracking system.
Hobbies:
Niki enjoys dancing, photographing her little boy and traveling with her husband. She also spends time four wheeling, camping, hiking and biking. She frequently does photography for weddings, children’s portraits, family gatherings, birth announcements and invitations for family, friends and other acquaintances. Niki loves traveling and has visited 28 states within the US as well as several cities in Mexico, Peru, Belize, Canada, New Zealand and Fiji.
