Kathy Sprouse PROJECT MANAGER
Kathy works as a project manager where her responsibilities include providing client quotes, translator coordination including matching translator skills with our client's technical requirements. She is responsible for making certain that work returned to clients is done in a way that meets their expectations. She receives client's work, establishes turnaround dates, assigns work to the appropriate translator(s), and monitors the project's progress until completion. She also handles many interpretation assignments.
Background & Education:
Kathy was born and raised in Texas. She split her Texas experience between living in the Dallas area until the age of 15 and then moving to San Antonio. Once married, she and her husband moved to Okinawa, Japan where they were stationed on an Air Force base for 4 years. This is where Kathy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, Asian Division.
Experience:
While living in Okinawa, Kathy worked with Bank of America as an International Currency Purchasing Agent for Japan and Korea military installations. This included making sure that all the banks on the bases across Japan and Korea were stocked with both the U.S. Dollar as well as the Yen and Won currencies. Since moving from Japan to Utah in 1999, Kathy has worked as an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager, where paperwork, instruction and prioritization were essential.
Hobbies:
Kathy enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband. She is hoping to do more traveling in the future outside of the U.S. She is very interested in the cultures of people that live in different countries and would like to learn more about them. She enjoys scuba diving, biking and has finally attempted skiing. She has driven across country too many times to count and prefers a nice air-conditioned plane ride. She and her family enjoy camping and four wheeling.
