Standout Cultural Experience
"The first time I ate raw vegetables some twenty two years ago when I first came to the States. Being Chinese, I was used to eating cooked vegetables. During one meal I had a very hard time swallowing some raw mushroom but still had to put on a smiling face. I actually went to the restroom to throw up. I am quite used to it now although I still cannot say I love it."
Most Memorable Experience Working with USTC:
"My second Hawaii Mandarin training session this year is a memorable one due to the unique situation that requires an instructor to handle various different tasks. This is quite an experience - a very positive one - for me and now I know what I would expect and what I can do to get the work done in an efficient manner next time over there."
Why Lin was chosen for the the Second Quarter Vendor Recognition Award:
Lin recently finished teaching a Mandarin Chinese course through U.S. Translation Company for the U.S. Military. The class was the second of its kind that Lin has instructed. Despite various challenges that came up during the courses, Lin met and resolved each and every issue with the highest professionalism and successfully completed the courses.
