About Marie
- Born in Japan, Marie moved to the United States shortly after she was born. In high school, Marie participated in a foreign exchange program and traveled back to Japan to attend school for a month. Marie is currently enrolled at Salt Lake Community College studying elementary education.

Marie is an accomplished violin player and also enjoys traveling. In addition to visiting Japan, she especially enjoys road trips within the U.S. and some of her favorite places to visit are California and New York.

"Going to school in Japan was really fun. It was a big change to wear a uniform everyday and for lunch they served a lot of rice, noodles and fish which was different than the U.S. but it was really good!"
Why Marie was chosen for the the Second Quarter Vendor Recognition Award:
Marie's help at a huge convention in June helped make not only U.S. Translation Company's services a success, but also directly impacted the quality of the convention for attendees and the hosts. In addition to her regular duties checking in Japanese attendees, distributing interpretation equipment to over 600 people, answering questions, and assisting the convention coordinator with emergency help in areas other than her designated room.
