About Valeska
- Valeska has lived in Mexico, India, the United States, the UK and currently resides in Guatemala. She has always fostered a passion for learning, particularly languages and culture. Legal translations are among her specialties and she obtained a degree as a sworn translator in Guatemala, where she also studied ancient Mayan culture and picked up a basic knowledge of the Mayan language.

"I would consider traveling as one of the best cultural experiences of my life. I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet people from many cultural backgrounds and gain knowledge from the surroundings, beliefs, customs, and particularly the people themselves while I have been abroad.
A highlight for me as a linguist was to see a Thai interpreter working first hand during business meetings. It was strange for me to see someone work from another angle and in turn enabled me to see my own occupation in a clearer light."
