Wei Xu - U.S. Translation Company Intern

This is Wei. She is pretty much the greatest intern a company could ever ask for.

Three days a week Wei comes into the office and puts together incredible videos for our translation services company.

She is extremely skilled with programs like Photoshop, Adobe premiere elements, and other video editing software.

She’s originally from near Tianjin, China and before coming to Salt Lake City to study at Westminster College with an exchange program, she was attending Nankai University in Tianjin.

Here’s the kicker: Wei’s degree is in economics. She’s not getting any credit for coming in and helping us! She’s put in several long days on tight deadlines and really dedicated herself to a passion of hers, and for that we are extremely grateful.

Cue the Big Check!

On Monday (4/30), U.S. Translation Company Marketing Director Niki Tonks presented Ben with his award in front of the entire Northridge student body as part of the Ken Garff Keys to Success program.

Congratulations once again to Ben and all the Northridge High students that were recognized!

In fact, U.S. Translation Company was started by Utrilla and former partner David Clark just blocks from the University in 1995 after Utrilla developed a business model in translation services during one of his classes.

On Monday, representatives from WSU’s international business and communications department stopped by the USTC office to take pictures of the trio for use in upcoming promotional media.

Thanks again to all those involved and we can’t wait to see the pictures!

U.S. Translation Company President David Utrilla attended a special award ceremony last week that honored Utah teens and recognized essays that the students wrote.

Benjamin Sylvester received a scholarship from our translation services company and we hope it serves him well as he continues his education!
