Innovation in Service - Global View January 2009

In January of 2009, the Utah Business Magazine awarded 10 companies in 10 unique categories an IQ (Innovative Quotient) award for their innovation in business. U.S. Translation Company was proud to have been one of the top 2 runners up for the Business Services Category.
U.S. Translation Company (USTC) has thrived in the Language Services Industry due to our customer service goal, which is to exceed customer expectations! When clients expect their projects back "yesterday" at the highest quality with the best price, it's our company's innovation, professionalism and customer service that makes us successful.
Some language service providers can produce an acceptable product if they use qualified linguists, do proper quality assurance and deliver on time; however, it takes much more than "acceptable" in this industry to be successful. After 13 years in the business, U.S. Translation Company understands that in order to stand above the rest, we have to provide not only the most superior product, but exceed all expectations in customer service, because this is where the other companies are lacking.
USTC was a top runner up for this award, because in 2003, we made a leap to prove to our clients that we were not only committed to excellence in language production, but long-term commitment in service as well. To do this, we began developing plans to become ISO 9001:2000 certified ? the first SBA 8(a) language service provider to do so. In order to achieve the ISO certification, we had to develop our own, unique tracking and management system, OnTarget.
OnTarget had to allow us to respond to requests immediately, simultaneously track thousands of documents, linguists, interpretation assignments and schedules seamlessly while allowing our clients to track the progress of their projects through a secure on-line portal, giving them peace of mind. The system had to track all of our vendors, their performance, any errors, as well as our client's feedback which was crucial in determining the quality of our product. Additionally, this system had to grow with our company's needs and provide reports to satisfy ISO statistical analysis elements.
This system has not only made our management process smooth, it has allowed us to service our clients quicker, with more efficiency and give them the peace of mind they need while allowing us to keep our prices competitive.
